Since the first presentation at the Outdoor Retailer, we have continued the development of the Immelman.
Latest product information concerning the Immelman.
The technical key issue in the Immelman is the combination of articulation and a compartment system, that fixes the insulating down exactly where it is designed to be. To raise the performance of the Immelman, we have increased the total number of body side and inner sleeve compartment from 6 to 9. This increase in lateral compartments, offers a better guarantee that the insulation is maintained in the correct place, once the arms in movements and raised up.

The Immelman is hence a 85 piece 3D puzzel, as complicated and advanced as a Shocking Blue/La Fayette.
Articulating a down membrane, creates a conflicting reaction between the functionality and the aesthetical look, witch manifest itself in a general tendency to create folds, on the shoulder front section. Not that the aesthetical aspect primes over the functionality in the jacket, we actually used a lot of efforts and time, to figure out, how to eliminate this tendency. Working on this problem, actually took more time as expected, as the folding effect was on a surface, where multiple different pieces of fabric are connected.
The Immelman is after these last adjustments, ready for it’s European launch at the Outdoor Messe in Friedrichshafen, after the pre-launch at the Outdoor Retailer in Salt Lake City, and will enter the Outdoor Industry Award competition 2011.
So yesterday we took the first official shoots.
